Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Relief Driver with a CDL B to operate a collection truck on assigned routes, ensuring safe, courteous waste removal for customers. The role requires pre/post inspections, adherence to safety standards, and accurate reporting of route productivity.

Responsibilities include loading waste, operating the packer, and maintaining vehicle readiness. Prior truck driving experience is preferred, with a Class B or higher license and air brakes endorsement.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Ability to adhere to safety standards and company policies.
• Licensed to operate Class B or higher with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate the collection truck on assigned routes and service customers.
• Load refuse and operate the compactor according to safety procedures.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers.
• Maintain and submit route and productivity reports as required.
