Job summary

GFL Environmental Services is looking for a driver to transport, load, unload, and collect various liquid and solid hazardous and non-hazardous materials from customer sites. You will operate hydrovac and sewer cleaning combo unit trucks, perform cargo handling, and ensure safe practices and proper documentation.

This role requires a valid CDL B with a clean driving record, tanker endorsement preferred, ability to drive manual transmissions, and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL B with clean driving record.
• Tank truck endorsement preferred for tanker operations.
• Must be able to drive manual transmissions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Manual dexterity; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Local work with some occasional out-of-town work.
• Overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovac trucks and sewer cleaning combo unit trucks.
• Loading and unloading of trucks.
• Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation and safe practices.
• Familiarity with government documents such as manifests.
• Perform trip inspections on equipment and load for safety and roadworthiness.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions; coordinate with loading crew.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
• Maintain load-related documentation (driver logbook, bills of lading, manifests).
• Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers.
• Ensure debris from loading/unloading is cleaned up.
• Train others when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
