Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A driver to transport, remove, deliver and collect various liquid hazardous wastes from customer sites. You will load/unload, operate vacuum and box trucks, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated organizational skills and strong oral and written communication.

• Must have manual dexterity and be able to lift 75+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices.
• Familiarity with government documents such as manifests.
• Perform trip inspections on equipment and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness.
• Comply with safety and transportation regulations including hours of service and dangerous goods.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and confirm correct vehicle positioning.
• Check vehicles before driving for mechanical and safety readiness.
• Record and maintain required documentation including logs and manifests.
• Communicate effectively with customers, public, and co-workers.
