Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Vacuum Truck Operator to join the Vacuum Truck Services team.

You will perform hydro excavation, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading/hauling of fluids/materials with a strong emphasis on safety, professionalism and teamwork. Responsibilities include safe operation of vacuum equipment, completing daily pre-trips and logs, maintaining documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• CDL A with airbrakes required.
• Tanker endorsement required.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Manual operation ability is an asset.
• 2 years industrial vacuum truck/hydro-excavating experience preferred with a combo unit.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vacuum equipment in an industrial setting.
• Follow company policies and on-site requirements; provide exceptional service and represent GFL.
• Complete daily equipment pre-trips and driver logs for NSC compliance.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for work performed.
• Demonstrate commitment to environmental compliance.
• Participate in safety programs and job hazard assessments.
• Work independently, manage time and productivity, and communicate effectively.
