Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking a Seasonal Residential Driver. The role covers servicing routes with waste/recycling collection, with high physical demand and exposure to weather and odors. Seasonal April to mid-December, with varying hours including some Saturdays.

You will perform vehicle inspections, communicate with Dispatch, and ensure routes meet service levels while keeping customer locations clean and safe. CDL B and DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain one prior to hire.
• No DUI/OVI within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• No license suspensions within the last 2 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle in accordance with safety rules and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.
• Report unsafe situations to Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend scheduled trainings and meetings as required.
• Work with Route Manager to improve route efficiencies.
• Notify Route Manager of incidents or service interruptions.
• Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensure containers are dumped and customer locations are clean.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and checkout process.
• Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
