Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking a Residential Driver to safely operate a collection truck on assigned routes, collecting waste and recyclables from residential customers. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, communicate with dispatch, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensure adherence to safety and DOT regulations.

The role emphasizes customer service, on-time performance, and the ability to work with handheld scanners and route-tracking tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement.
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate heavy-duty trucks and related equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret route sheets and maps.
• Familiarity with mobile devices and route-tracking apps.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential collection truck in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collect waste and recyclables from residential customers on assigned routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Communicate with dispatch and route supervisors regarding issues or delays.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
• Follow all safety guidelines and DOT regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns when necessary.
