Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a CDL-B Field Driver/Technician in Portland, ME to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste, featuring tanker and hazmat endorsements.

Expect 3–4 overnight shifts with regular weekday scheduling and weekends off except at critical times. The role requires a valid CDL-B with HazMat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days, plus 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and trailers.
• Perform LTL pickups and maintain driver documents and logs.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regs for hazardous waste, labeling, and placarding.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and use company tech tools.
• Coordinate with customers to ensure satisfaction and site safety.
• Participate in site safety programs and related trainings.
