Job summary

City of Omaha seeks an Automotive Equipment Operator II to safely operate tandem axle trucks, tractors, and related equipment for maintenance, construction, and snow removal projects.

You will perform preventive maintenance, complete reports, drive in accordance with laws, and participate in park, sewer, street, and compost operations as assigned. A Class A CDL with N endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or its equivalent preferred.
• Three years of experience operating automotive equipment.
• Two years as Automotive Equipment Operator I acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned tandem axle and related equipment for maintenance, construction, and snow removal.
• Inspect fluid levels and perform minor repairs on equipment.
• Submit reports of work completed to supervision.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to schedules.
• Assist with park, sewer, street, and compost operations as assigned.
