Job summary

City of Omaha is hiring a full-time equipment operator to safely operate light trucks and farm-type tractors. The role includes manual labor, routine maintenance, and following detailed assignments under supervision.

Required is a valid Class B or A CDL with N endorsement by end of probation, plus the 2nd Grade Hoisting certificate. Forklift cert may be needed for Park Maintenance/Forestry. Pay ranges from $23.15 to $30.42 hourly with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience operating trucks or construction equipment."<br/>

Responsibilities

• Operate single-axle trucks and related equipment.
• Inspect fluid levels and perform minor maintenance.
• Complete and submit reports of work performed.
• Remove snow and apply salt, sand, or anti-icing material as needed.
• Follow daily schedules and cooperate with supervisor.
• Support Park Maintenance, Forestry, or Impound Lot duties as assigned.
