Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations and lead drivers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient service.

Responsibilities include coordinating routes, covering for absent staff, monitoring safety compliance, and participating in weekly operations meetings. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a valid CDL A license within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old and high school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class A license required or complete training within 90 days.
• 1+ year leadership/management experience in transportation preferred.
• Associate degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily branch operations and lead drivers to ensure timely, safe operations.
• Complete routes for absent employees and assist with loading/sorting freight.
• Monitor safety, DOT compliance, and company policies.
• Track daily department reports and participate in weekly operations meetings.
• Provide feedback on performance, attendance or safety concerns.
• Assist in training and onboarding of new staff; travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
