Job summary

The Yard Driver at Performance Food Group moves tractor trailers to and from loading docks, parks trailers in designated areas, and transports units to offsite maintenance. All work complies with DOT regulations and company safety standards.

This role requires attention to safety and professional communication with crew and vendors. Responsibilities include pre/post trip safety checks, reporting hazards, handling paperwork for offsite maintenance, and securing equipment at shift end.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and valid CDL A license.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and comply with DOT regulations.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle paperwork related to offsite maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are properly secured at all times.
• Maintain general housekeeping in the loading dock area and complete required paperwork.
