Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) is seeking a Yard Driver responsible for moving tractor trailers to and from loading docks and parking trailers in designated areas. The role requires local city driving and adherence to DOT regulations to ensure safety.

The position involves fueling, transporting trailers to maintenance facilities, and maintaining professional communication with colleagues and vendors. A valid CDL A and clean MVR are required, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months tractor-trailer experience.
• Must be 21+ and able to obtain DOT Health Card.
• Valid CDL A license required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Overtime may be required.
• State licensing requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors/trailers are secured at all times.
• Keep loading dock and trailers clean and organized.
• End-of-shift securing equipment and completing paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
