Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a driver to pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations. You will operate tractor-trailers, including doubles/triples where applicable, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure proper documentation and logs.

The role requires a valid CDL A with HazMat and Tank endorsements, plus 1 year of relevant experience or completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course. DOT compliance and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements; automatic transmission allowed.
• 1 year experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT FMC 391 regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform pre-trip and safety inspections daily.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazmat regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Possibly perform city driver or dock duties when needed.
• Drive long distances day and night.
