Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a truck driver to transport trailers between service centers and turn-points using tractor-trailers. The role involves inspecting equipment, hooking trailers, logging hours, and following dispatch instructions in all weather conditions.

Requirements include a Class A CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, 1 year of recent driving experience or completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course, and a valid MVR.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• 1 year experience within past 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• DOT regulatory requirements under FMC 391 must be met.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dolly connections.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and required documentation.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• May perform chaining or duties of city driver/dock employee as needed.
• Load/unload freight as required.
