Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a professional trailer driver responsible for picking up and delivering between Service Centers and turn-point locations.

You will operate tractor-trailers, perform pre-trip inspections, handle documentation and logs, and ensure compliance with DOT and company policies while working in varying schedules. The role requires a CDL-A with hazmat and tank endorsements, 1 year of recent driving experience or completion of the FedEx Driver Development Course, and the

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• 1 year of experience within the most recent 3 years or successful completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR 391.
• LCV qualifications apply in specified states (AZ, CO, FL, ID, IN, KS, MT, ND, NV, OH, OK, OR, SD, UT).

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate any delays or issues.
• Load and unload freight as required.
