Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations.

The role requires performing pre-trip inspections, maintaining logs, and complying with hazardous materials regulations. You will hook/unhook trailers, communicate with dispatch, and load/unload freight as needed, with varying schedules.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with double/triple and hazmat endorsements.
• One year of recent experience or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regs 391.
• Ability to operate long combination vehicles in specified states.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations to pick up and deliver between centers.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies and document reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and follow dispatch instructions.
• Load and unload freight as required and comply with laws and policies.
