Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a CDL-A Driver to safely operate heavy trucks for delivery and removal of large containers across designated routes. The role emphasizes adherence to safety standards, on-time service, and routine vehicle inspections.

You will read route sheets, service customers, perform minor container repairs, and maintain reports. A valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement and prior truck driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks.
• Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for minor repairs to containers.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper operation.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes to service customers and disposal sites.
• Load and unload containers and operate the waste handling equipment in compliance with safety standards.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and coworkers on a daily basis.
• Complete required route sheets and vehicle condition reports; maintain productivity standards.
