Job summary

FedEx Freight is hiring for a combination tractor-trailer role. The driver will pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations, operating tractor-trailer equipment and complying with all DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, hooking/unhooking trailers, completing paperwork, logging hours, and loading/unloading as needed. Demonstrated independence and teamwork are valued, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials and tank endorsements. Automatic transmission CDL restriction allowed.
• DOT regulatory requirements knowledge and ability to pass MVR checks.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer to pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers and turn-points.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations and company policies.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Load/unload freight as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
