Cornerstone Building Brands in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a dependable tractor-trailer driver to transport and deliver building materials to retail stores and construction sites. The role emphasizes safe driving, customer service, and accurate load verification.

Base pay starts at $26.00 per hour with a day shift. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain the vehicle, report needed repairs, and comply with DOT guidelines while occasionally working weekends.

Formación

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable).
• Clean driving record.
• Hands on delivery experience.
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions.

Responsabilidades

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to retail stores and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills, from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Occasional Weekend work
• Other duties as assigned
