Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a delivery driver in Fort Myers, FL to transport building materials to retail stores and construction sites. A valid Class A CDL and reliable, customer-focused service are essential.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, keep the vehicle clean, report maintenance, and ensure DOT compliance. Shift: Day, full-time with comprehensive benefits.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay rate starts at $26.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to retail stores and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills, from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Hands on delivery experience
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
