US Foods in Allentown is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a safety‑driven operation, coach drivers, ensure on‑time outbound shipments, and uphold DOT compliance while delivering outstanding service to customers.

This role requires 3+ years of transportation leadership, a CDL‑A background preferred, and strong data skills for scheduling, budgeting, and performance coaching. You will partner with senior leadership to optimize efficiency and safety in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution required.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
• Experience as a driver a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead with a safety mindset to ensure injury-free operations for associates, customers, and the public.
• Oversee and develop drivers and transportation staff through coaching and training, ensuring policy compliance.
• Discuss performance with senior managers and create improvement plans addressing gaps.
• Foster upward communication and motivate the team to meet department goals.
• Direct and supervise work and productivity of drivers and clerical staff; drive engagement and uphold US Foods values.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring transportation personnel; review performance and apply disciplinary actions as needed.
• Monitor production goals and maintain accuracy; troubleshoot deliveries and ensure DOT compliance.
• Identify waste and improve processes for safer, cost-efficient operations.
• Conduct routine Safety and Driver Meetings and maintain qualification files.
