Job summary

American Driver is seeking new CDL-A holders for a mentorship-focused program. You will receive one-on-one coaching before solo driving, earning paid training wages and transitioning quickly to solo pay.

Weekly options for home time are offered after training, with no-touch dry van freight, tolls and fuel programs provided, and dispatcher support available to ensure reliable routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• CDL school training completed (min 120 hours).
• Keep a clean driving record (no >2 moving violations in last 2 years).
• No serious violations in last 12 months.
• No major preventable accidents in last 5 years.
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing.
• Willing to learn and work safely with a mentor.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer.
• Haul no-touch dry van freight on regional routes.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate ELD logs.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers.
• Complete pickups and deliveries safely and on time.
