Job summary

Performance Foodservice in California seeks a Shuttle Driver to support our logistics network. You will transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards, operating under DOT regulations.

This role requires a CDL A with relevant endorsements, 12 months of commercial driving experience, and the ability to lift up to 90 pounds. You will perform safety checks, report issues, and collaborate with drivers to maintain on-time routes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks per DOT regulations (pre/post trip) and inspects tractor/truck and trailer.
• Reports safety issues and repairs as needed.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines and reports hazards.
• Inspects trailer for proper loading and securing of freight.
• Ensures route paperwork is available to driver on dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Parks and stores tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Keeps equipment and freight secured.
• Handles damaged goods and returns per procedures.
• Unloads equipment and maintains trailer cleanliness.
• Records hours of service daily.
