Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to support our nationwide food distribution network. You will transport empty trailers and turn around to deliver full loads, all while adhering to safety standards and DOT regulations.

Qualified candidates hold a CDL A with doubles, are at least 21 years old, and can lift 60–90 pounds. Work schedule is Sunday–Thursday with a daily pay rate of $271.30 and a strong benefits package starting day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR in past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday nights.
• Pre-employment drug test required.
• Road test required.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to obtain.
• Able to lift 60–90 lb and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/trailer per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues or needed repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; inspects freight load.
• Ensures route paperwork is available to driver.
• Drives and delivers trailers per schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Secures equipment and freight; handles damaged goods and returns.
• Completes daily hours of service logs; maintains records.
• Keeps tractor and loading dock area clean; performs other duties.
