Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to support our logistics network by moving empty trailers to and from warehouse locations and turning around to deliver full loads to domicile yard locations. You will operate tandem or tractor trailers in accordance with DOT guidelines, communicating with customers and coworkers to ensure safe, timely deliveries.

The role requires 12+ months of commercial driving experience, a valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, and the ability to work a 3rd

Qualifications

• Safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trailer for proper load and security.
• Ensure route paperwork is ready for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers per schedule.
• Hook/unhook per safety guidelines.
• Park and store trailers in designated areas.
• Secure all equipment and freight.
• Document hours of service and log per regulations.
• Perform housekeeping in tractor and dock area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
