Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to move empty trailers to operating locations and return full trailers to domicile yards, on intrastate and interstate routes, always in a safe, DOT-compliant manner.

This role requires a CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, 21+ years old, and a clean MVR. Schedule is Sun–Thu nights with after 5pm dispatch; pay ranges from $60,000 to $65,000 annually with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 6 months+ commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet state licensing requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• 3rd shift Schedule, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Ensure proper loading and secure freight.
• Maintain route paperwork and dispatch readiness.
• Drive and deliver trailers as scheduled.
• Perform hook/unhook and trailer parking safely.
• Lock and secure equipment and freight.
• Handle damaged goods and returns as required.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs as required.
• Participate in general housekeeping around trailers and docks.
