Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to play a vital role transporting empty trailers to operating locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. The position operates on intrastate and interstate routes, emphasizing safety and timely operations.

The role requires a CDL A with Doubles, a valid DOT Health Card, and at least 12 months of commercial driving experience. A 21+ age requirement, clean MVR, and pre-employment drug test are mandatory, with a 3rd shift

Qualifications

• 12 months commercial driving experience
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required
• Must be 21 years of age
• DOT licensing/certification requirements must be met
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• 3rd shift schedule: Sunday–Thursday nights
• Pre-employment drug test required
• Road test required
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one
• Lifts and moves freight up to 60–90 lbs

Responsibilities

• Drive tandem trailer, tractor trailer, or straight truck on intrastate/interstate routes transporting empty/full trailers
• Turn around and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations
• Maintain safety by performing pre/post trip inspections per DOT
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines
• Ensure proper loading, securing freight, and proper paperwork
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers
• Complete hours-of-service logs and daily housekeeping duties
• Perform other duties as assigned
