Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Abilene, TX. You will transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and return full trailers to domicile yards, following DOT rules and safety practices. The role requires CDL A with doubles endorsement and a 3rd shift schedule Sunday–Thursday.

Training is provided; compensation ranges $60,000–$70,000 annually with a quarterly incentive program and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Benefits start Day 1 including health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months commercial driving experience >
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
• Must be 21 years of age
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday –Thursday nights (schedules may vary)
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight

Responsibilities

• Transports empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivers full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations in a safe, timely manner.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and report issues.
• Inspects loads and ensures proper securing of freight.
• Drives trailers according to route schedule and completes required paperwork.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures and parks trailers at designated areas.
• Maintains daily hours-of-service records per regulations and company policy.
