Job summary

Schneider National is seeking drivers for intermodal work in the Washington area. You will haul freight containers on company chassis, driving in and out of railyards across Oregon and Washington, with a compensation mix of hourly on-duty pay, mileage pay, and shipment pay.

The role offers paid orientation, PTO after 6 months, holiday pay, and potential bonuses, with a focus on safety and efficient operations within Schneider's intermodal network.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• HazMat endorsement and Tanker endorsement are strongly preferred.
• Live within 40 miles of Kent, WA.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.

Overview

• Haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis.
• 99% no-touch freight that is 85% drop-and-hook.
• Drive in and out of railyards within Oregon and Washington.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Wage Scale: Hourly pay of $15 for all on duty, not driving hours (Line 4 time), Shipment pay of $10 per shipment, and Mileage pay between $0.53/mile and $0.64/mile for each assigned mile you complete (specific Shipment Pay rate depends on experience).
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 3% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred.
