American Driver LLC is hiring Class A drivers for a Midwest regional fleet along Michigan's lakeshore. Training for new CDL holders includes a mentor, paying $900 weekly.
Experienced drivers with 6 months of OTR can go solo after orientation, with paid orientation and a standard benefits package after 30 days.
We are hiring Class A drivers along the West Michigan lakeshore for a Midwest regional fleet that keeps every load within 400 miles of home. You run dry van freight through Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois, take your 34-hour restarts close to home, and average $1,000 to $1,300 a week. Your first 3 months solo carry a $1,000 weekly minimum. New CDL holders train with a mentor and earn $900 a week. Drivers with 6 months or more of recent experience go solo after orientation.
That is your map. Detroit, Toledo, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville and Chicago are all inside it. You will not be sent to Texas or the East Coast. Short runs are common, and they pay extra: $40 on loads under 51 miles and $25 on longer short hauls, plus $15 per stop.
Drop and hook, preloads, live loads and live unloads. Day and night dispatch. Weekends are worked, and holidays when freight needs it. Your truck is assigned to you, automatic or 10-speed, about 1.5 years old on average.
A recruiter calls and reviews your license and record. Orientation takes two days at most, with your hotel covered and your bus ticket paid back, and pays $300 once you are hired. Then 3 to 5 weeks with a mentor, about 200 to 250 hours, at $900 a week. Then the truck is yours.
With 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months, you skip the mentor and start solo after orientation.
