Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking drivers for a Great Lakes regional role with home weekends. New hires receive training pay, then full solo pay, and a guaranteed weekly amount during the initial months after solo dispatch.

Expect 1,800–2,200 miles weekly on upper Midwest regional runs with drop and hook loads. Weekly gross pay ranges from $1,200 to $1,400, with pay per mile starting at $0.56 and increasing to $0.59 within six months.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• New CDL holders: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate upper Midwest regional dry van routes.
• Complete 1,800–2,200 miles weekly.
• Home every weekend.
• Drop and hook; some loads may be live or unloaded by carrier.

Job description

Dayton drivers: leave Monday, home Friday night or Saturday morning. This Great Lakes regional fleet trains new CDL holders and pays you every week while you learn.

How You Start

• $850 per week during training with an experienced trainer
• Full solo pay as soon as you are signed off
• $1,000 weekly guaranteed pay for your first 3 months after first solo dispatch

• Upper Midwest regional dry van
• 1,800 to 2,200 miles a week

• Drop and hook, live loads and unloads

Pay

• $1,200 to $1,400 average weekly gross
• $0.56 per mile to start, $0.59 by 6 months
• $15 stop pay, monthly performance bonus

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
• New CDL holders: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
• Valid license in your current state of residence and verifiable work history for the past 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years, no DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing
• Live within 100 miles of Columbus, OH
