Job summary

American Driver LLC is hiring Class A drivers for a Midwest regional fleet based in Butler County and the north side of Cincinnati. You’ll be out Mondays and home Saturdays, with loads across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois, staying close to home.

Weekly earnings range from about $1,000 to $1,400, with a $1,000 weekly minimum for the first 3 months solo and $850 weekly during training. New drivers train with a mentor and go solo after orientation.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL from your state of residence, 21 or older.
• CDL-A training at a truck driving school (minimum 120 hours) or 6 months of OTR last 12 months.
• Live within 100 miles of Cincinnati.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years.
• DOT physical, hair and urine drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate dry-van freight with drop-and-hook, loading and unloading.
• Follow Midwest regional routes, Monday start, Saturday return.

Job description

We are hiring Class A drivers in Butler County and the north side of Cincinnati for a Midwest regional fleet that sends you out on Monday and brings you home on Saturday. Loads stay in five states, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois, so you are never far from home. Drivers average $1,000 to $1,400 a week, and the first 3 months solo carry a $1,000 weekly minimum. New CDL holders train with a mentor at $850 a week. Drivers with 6 months or more of recent experience go solo after orientation.

The short version

• Out Monday, home Saturday, every week

• Extra load pay on most shorter loads

The longer version

This fleet runs shorter hauls than most. That means more loads in a week, and most of them pay a flat load bonus on top of your miles: $40 on runs under 150 miles and $25 on runs from 150 to 250 miles. You also earn $15 per stop. Freight is dry van, with drop and hook, preloads, live loads and live unloads. Dispatch runs day and night. Weekends are home time unless you choose to work.

• $0.56 to $0.59 per mile based on verifiable experience

Getting started

A recruiter calls and reviews your license and record. Orientation takes two days at most, with your hotel covered and your bus ticket paid back, and pays $300 once you are hired. New drivers then train 3 to 5 weeks with a mentor, about 200 to 250 hours. With 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months, you skip that and start solo in your own assigned truck.
