Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Pontiac, MI is seeking CDL-A drivers for regional runs within 400 miles of home. Training pays $900 per week with a trainer on real freight and an eventual own-truck path on full pay after sign-off.

Solo pay ranges $1,000–$1,500 weekly gross, with $1,000 weekly guaranteed for the first 3 months after first solo dispatch. Runs cover OH, IN, MI, KY and IL, 1,600–2,000 miles weekly, home every weekend.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL, 21+ years old.
• New drivers: proof of 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in last 12 months or 12+ months in past 5 years.
• 2 moving violations or fewer in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
• Clean DUI/DWI history for 5–10 years, depending on CDL date.
• Able to pass DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing.
• Live within 100 miles of Detroit, MI.

Training

• $900 per week, paid every week

• $15 stop pay

The Run

• OH, IN, MI, KY and IL
• 1,600 to 2,000 miles per week
• Home every weekend
• Drop and hook, live loads, preloads

Requirements

• Class A CDL, 21 or older
• Brand new drivers: proof of 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
• 2 moving violations or fewer in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years
• Clean DUI/DWI history for 5 to 10 years, based on when you got your CDL
• Able to pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing
• Live within 100 miles of Detroit, MI
