Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a full-time Pick-up and Delivery Driver to operate commercial motor vehicles safely and within DOT regulations.

You will load/unload freight, maintain shipment records, and build professional relations with customers across our multi-regional network. The role requires a Class A CDL with HazMat endorsements, at least one year of driving experience, and the ability to pass DOT drug and fitness tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL with HazMat and double/triple endorsements.
• One year driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Read, write, speak English well.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without mechanical assistance.
• Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts and tally sheets.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with customers.
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition as required by law and AAA Cooper.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform all other work related duties as assigned.
