Job summary

Performance Food Group in Fletcher, NC is hiring a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to yard locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards, following DOT rules. You will operate tandem, tractor, or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, perform safety checks, log hours, and work Sunday-Thursday 5:30pm–4:30am for starting pay of $75,000–$85,000.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Performs all required safety checks per DOT regulations and inspections.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
• Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to predetermined route schedule.
• Completes daily hours of service log in accordance with regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
