Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and return full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate a tandem or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, perform safety checks, inspect equipment, secure freight, and maintain accurate dispatch paperwork.

The role requires a CDL A with doubles, 21+ years old, and a 3rd shift schedule (Sun–Thu).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• 3rd shift Sunday–Thursday schedule.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to obtain one.
• Able to lift/move freight up to ~90 lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transport empty trailers to operating locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards.
• Drive tandem tractor-trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Inspect equipment and secure freight for transport.
• Maintain route paperwork and hours-of-service logs.
• Unloading and housekeeping duties in loading dock areas as needed.
