Job summary

Herrman Lumber is seeking a CDL Driver to safely transport lumber and building materials in accordance with DOT regulations. The role focuses on load securement, accurate delivery documentation, and professional customer interaction while supporting safety and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A license required.
• One year of commercial driving experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport lumber and building materials.
• Adhere to DOT regulations including hours-of-service (HOS).
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Secure loads with straps and tarps to prevent shifting.
• Interact professionally with customers and suppliers during deliveries.
• Maintain delivery records per company and DOT policies.
• Assist with loading/unloading and yard organization as needed.
