Job summary

US LBM is seeking a CDL Driver I to safely transport lumber and building materials to various job sites across local and inter-state routes. Must hold a Class A or B CDL, perform DOT inspections, and ensure loads are secured and accurately documented.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred; basic CDL with flat beds and/or tractor trailers.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; may require city-based and inter-state travel.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections for safety and compliance.
• Provide professional customer service; relay messages from customers on site.
• Secure loads, verify orders, and ensure safe departure and delivery.
• Comply with DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules; maintain DOT logs.
• Deliver and unload materials; ensure customer satisfaction at delivery point.
• Document returns and assist in unloading for credit; keep records accurate.
• Safely operate truck-mounted forklift; keep truck clean and ready for use.
• Assist with stocking and organizing inventory in warehouse and production areas.
