Job summary

Herrman Lumber Company in Springfield, MO seeks a CDL Driver to safely transport lumber and materials to customer sites, follow DOT regulations, and document deliveries.

You will perform load securement, interact professionally with customers, and participate in safety and compliance programs. Requires CDL Class A or B, high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of commercial driving experience.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B license required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport lumber and materials to sites.
• Transport materials on interstate routes, including cross-state travel.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Secure loads with straps, tarps, and other equipment per regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records (bills of lading, delivery receipts, fuel logs).
• Interact professionally with customers and suppliers to ensure accurate deliveries.
• Assist with loading/unloading in the yard and organize materials when not driving.
• Report accidents, injuries, or safety concerns per company procedures.
• Participate in safety and DOT compliance training sessions.
