Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a qualified driver to operate tractors/trailers across diverse routes and terrains. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, secure cargo, and comply with FMCSA regulations while delivering freight safely and on time.

The role requires a valid CDL A, HazMat/Tanker endorsements, and the ability to work in various weather and road conditions. You will interact with customers and support dock operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and FMCSA compliance requirements.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration and drug/alcohol program compliance is required.
• HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements and the ability to meet FMCSA requirements.
• Must pass medical exam, road test and maintain safe driving record.
• Fluent English reading/speaking for FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with laws and safety rules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
• Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company policies; secure cargo.
• Load/unload freight at dock as required; assist with dock operations.
• Maintain records and report maintenance needs to Fleet Services.
• Ensure safety in hazardous materials transport and vehicle operation.
• Demonstrate professionalism with customers and general public.
• Possess strong time management and multi-priority prioritization.
• Pass background checks and drug screening as required.
