Job summary

McCoy's Building Supply is seeking a delivery driver to transport lumber, building materials, and hardware to customers' homes and job sites. The role includes COD collections, order verification, and ensuring accurate delivery paperwork.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading, using GPS/navigation, keeping vehicles clean, performing safety checks, and assisting in the yard when not driving. Strong customer service and compliance with DOT rules are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training; levels 1 and 2 of training offered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lumber, building materials, hardware to customers' homes, sites or business locations.
• Collect COD payments and record customer information.
• Verify order details and obtain customer signature on delivery ticket.
• Use navigation tools to locate delivery addresses efficiently.
• Record delivery information for tracking.
• Collect and organize required paperwork for delivery and transfer.
• Provide courteous customer service and act as liaison between site customer and store personnel.
• Inform management of any customer complaints or requests promptly.
• Load vehicle safely and keep delivery vehicles clean.
• Perform routine safety checks on vehicles.
• Assist in yard/warehouse with stocking, loading, and organizing materials.
• Assist customers in yard with loading material and product questions.
• Comply with safety standards and laws; operate forklift.
• Attend store meetings and trainings.
• Perform other related duties.
