Job summary

McCoy’s Building Supply in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Delivery Driver to transfer lumber and building materials between locations. You will drive company vehicles to customers, collect COD payments, verify orders, and use GPS or maps for efficient routing.

You’ll maintain records, assist in loading, and provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, operating a forklift, and supporting yard operations when not driving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for the vehicle type.
• On-the-job training completed; levels 1 and 2 training completed.

Responsibilities

• Drives company vehicles to deliver lumber, building materials and supplies to customers.
• Collects payment on COD orders and records customer information.
• Verifies order details and obtains customer signature on delivery ticket.
• Uses navigation tools to locate addresses efficiently.
• Maintains delivery records and paperwork.
• Loads and unloads materials safely; ensures vehicle cleanliness.
• Acts as customer service liaison and resolves complaints.
• Follows safety standards and DOT/FMCSR requirements.
• Operates forklift and supports yard/warehouse as needed.
