Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver for local Hopwood/Uniontown PA routes. You will deliver food products to a variety of customers, unload up to 100 lbs, and operate ramps and a two-wheel cart. Start times are early; you’ll be home each day.

Qualifications include 21+, Class A CDL at hire, ability to lift 100 lbs, English reading/writing, and a clean DOT record. Drivers are paid per mile and per case, with guaranteed weekly minimums.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Class A CDL License required at hire.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart carrying up to 350 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs during shift.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• DOT and Gordon Food Service standards require a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs using ramp and two-wheeler.
• Build relationships with customers on local routes.
• Stay on day shifts with early start times and home daily.
• Paid for mileage, stops, and cases delivered.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location: Hopwood/Uniontown PA.

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule: Start time 3 AM - 5 AM until work until the route is finished.

Pay: Drivers average $70K - $100 K /year. Guaranteed minimum of $1100 /week. Daily base pay, plus component pay. Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered.

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
