Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to service Imperial, PA and surrounding areas. You will deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities, building relationships with customers and ensuring timely local routes.

Day shifts with home daily, daily base pay plus mileage and case-delivered pay, and benefits. You must pass drug tests and maintain a clean driving record; chain of safety and DOT compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL license at hire.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record per DOT standards.
• Registered through the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse with consent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers including restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs and use ramp/two-wheeler as needed.
• Build relationships with customers and ensure on-time local routes.
• Follow safety and DOT guidelines while driving and delivering.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location : Imperial, PA

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule

Schedule : Monday - Friday. Start time 3 AM - 5 AM AM until work until the route is finished

Pay

Pay : Drivers average $70,000-$100,000 K/year

Guaranteed minimum of $1100/week

Daily base pay, plus component pay

Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
