Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a CDL-A Heavy Equipment Operator in Kansas City, MO to support emergency transportation, equipment handling, and field operations across the region. This hands-on role combines driving, heavy equipment operation, and physical labor.

You will transport machinery, perform inspections, operate cranes and loaders as needed, and assist with safety training and maintenance when not responding to calls. This is a full-time, on-call position with overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record.
• Experience in construction or industrial labor.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform hands-on fieldwork.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs.
• Willingness to work on-call, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel for assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment per DOT regulations.
• Operate tractor-trailers to transport machinery and materials to job sites.
• Inspect loads and verify permits for oversized/overweight equipment.
• Load, unload, stage, and secure equipment for field operations.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
