Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. in Idaho is seeking a CDL-A driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailers, including doubles where applicable.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, hooking/unhooking trailers, completing required reports, maintaining logs, and following dispatch instructions. Overnight stays may be required; HazMat/Tank endorsements required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple endorsements and HazMat/Tank endorsements (automatic transmission restriction allowed).
• 1 year of experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT FMC 391 regulatory requirements.
• LCV experience/qualification required where applicable in listed states.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/handle trailers and equipment as described.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and show initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles (and triples where applicable).
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Load and unload freight as required.
• Comply with laws and company policies.
