Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Chalmette, LA is seeking drivers for a first trucking job that requires no prior experience. You’ll receive paid training, a mentor, and orientation pay with lodging covered during orientation.

After you go solo, you’ll have a $1,000 weekly guarantee for 3 months and an average weekly pay of $1,200 to $1,800, with up to 2,900 miles per week and $15 stop pay. Home time is every two weeks, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, stock purchase, and more.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid Class A CDL or CDL school completion with 120 hours minimum.
• No experience required; experienced drivers welcome with up to 6 months OTR in 12 months or 12 months in 5 years.
• DD214 considered
• Max 2 moving violations in 2 years, no serious violations in 12 months
• No major preventable accidents in 5 years, no DUI/DWI in 5–10 years
• Pass hair and urine drug test with 3 years verifiable work history

Training

The Freight

• Dry van, drop and hook mixed with live loads
• Runs east of Denver, skips the Northeast

Home Time

• Some loads go north in winter, you'll learn snow and ice with a mentor first

• No experience needed. Experienced: 6 months OTR in 12 months or 12 months in 5 years
• DD214 considered

• No major preventable accidents in 5 years, no DUI/DWI in 5 to 10 years
• Pass hair and urine drug test, 3 years verifiable work history
