Job summary

Schneider National is seeking an experienced Driver Instructor to coach, mentor and onboard new drivers at our Bartlett, TN location. You will lead hands-on classroom and truck training, focusing on safety, hours of service, trip planning, and policy adherence.

The role involves teaching driving skills, training on Schneider's tablet and workflow systems, and acting as a safety advocate and retention ambassador to build a rewarding career with the company.

Qualifications

• Previous instructor or training experience preferred.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrates a positive, professional attitude.
• Able to learn, demonstrate and train Schneider's company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers.
• Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.
• Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.
• Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.
• Teach driving skills that align with Schneider's guidelines and materials.
• Show drivers how to use Schneider's electronic tablets and workflow system.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Evaluate and provide updates on candidates who are not meeting expectations.
• Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider.
