Job summary

Schneider National is seeking a Driver Instructor to train and mentor new drivers, both in the classroom and on the road in the Atlanta area. You will coach, onboard and evaluate candidates, focusing on safety, hours of service and company policies while using Schneider’s tablets and workflow tools.

This full-time role offers bi-monthly pay, a competitive base salary, profit sharing and immediate PTO. You will contribute to driver retention and help build a skilled, safety-focused transportation

Qualifications

• Previous instructor or training experience preferred.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrates a positive, professional attitude.
• Able to learn, demonstrate and train Schneider’s company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers.
• Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.
• Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.
• Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.
• Teach driving skills that align with Schneider’s guidelines and materials.
• Show drivers how to use Schneider’s electronic tablets and workflow system.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Evaluate and provide updates on candidates who are not meeting expectations.
• Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider.
