Job summary

Schneider National in Mansfield, TX is seeking a trainer to onboard and coach CDL drivers. You will conduct classroom and in-truck training, focusing on safety, hours of service, trip planning, and company policies.

You will also demonstrate Schneider's tablet and workflow system and support driver development. The role emphasizes mentorship, ongoing feedback, and preparing drivers for a safe, rewarding career with Schneider.

Qualifications

• Previous instructor or training experience preferred.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Able to learn, demonstrate and train Schneider's company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers.
• Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.
• Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.
• Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.
• Teach driving skills that align with Schneider's guidelines and materials.
• Show drivers how to use Schneider's electronic tablets and workflow system.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Evaluate and provide updates on candidates who are not meeting expectations.
• Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider.
